Groberfubs are the evolution of Leapers, belonging in the Hyper Evolved tier.
Spawning
Spawned when a Leaper gets 7 evolution points by killing mobs and its evolution timer begins. Once the time is up, they will become a Groberfub.
Spawned from Arena Tendrils as a special mob during a raid.
Sometimes spawned by a Proto Hivemind when it receives damage, in which it summons a special Verwahrung that can hold a Groberfub inside.
Unique Behavior
The Groberfub has four different attacks that it can perform, each a 25% chance every time it attempts to deal damage.
Its smash attack looks for blocks with a hardness of 3 or below (and above -1) within a 3 block range of the target that have air under them. These blocks have a 30% chance to be affected by gravity and fall. Furthermore, blocks that are exactly 2 blocks away from the target on any given axis will never fall.
Its kick does the equivalent of Knockback 3 to the target. Additionally, 50% of the Groberfub's kick attack damage pierces through armor, meaning it ignores it.
The slap inflicts Nausea for 10 seconds and Weakness for 5 seconds. It can slap with either its right hand or left hand. This attack counts as two because of the different hands it can use.
When having a target within 3 - 6 blocks, the Groberfub will perform its rampage attack. It continually charges at the target, rapidly dealing 2 damage every 5 ticks, as well as the equivalent of Knockback 1.2. While it's rampaging, it takes 50% less damage. The charge lasts 1 second and has a 10 second cooldown before the Groberfub can perform it again. This attack does not inflict Mycelium Infection.
Due to the way the Groberfub charges, if its target is a player and has a shield up, the Groberfub will throw the player back and fourth, making it hard to aim the shield correctly. This is an unintended side effect due to the speed, knockback, and hitboxes colliding.
The Groberfub is capable of leaping large distances to get to targets that are far away.
Groberfubs often pounce at their targets when in close range. They can utilize this to leap across small gaps to reach targets.
Is immune to fall damage.
If the Groberfub falls from more than 8 blocks high, it will do a stomp attack. Blocks with a hardness of 3 or below (and above -1) within a 7 block range that have air under them have a 30% chance to be affected by gravity and fall. Furthermore, blocks that are exactly 2 blocks away from the Groberfub on any given axis will never fall.
The Groberfub has very high knockback, having 10x the knockback of a basic infected, with a value of 3 for knockback.
Is able to climb up blocks.
When naming a Groberfub "Omni-Man" or "Nolan", it will get a special joke variant that wears the Omni-Man suit and has noticeable cheeks. It also has unique idle noises.
Behavior
Groberfubs are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Groberfubs inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Essentially has Sweeping Edge, as its attack has an AOE.
Can fall from up to infinite blocks before taking fall damage.
Has a follow range of 32 blocks.
Groberfubs can see entities through walls if they are closer than 10 blocks.
Groberfubs will create nests (explained on the Hyper Evolved page.)
Groberfubs have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Groberfubs have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Groberfubs do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 3 or below.
Will despawn during Proto World Modifier if they are at least 256 blocks away from a player.
Have a damage cap of 1/3 of their health on hard mode.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
‘Groberfub’ is German, and means “big foot.”
The head on the back of the Groberfub's model is inspired by Edward Mordrake.
Its advancement "King of Skull Island" implies that the Groberfub is male.
The Groberfub was originally meant to have a completely different attack set, but these attacks had to be scrapped due to being too hard to animate.
It included a side torso kick, an aerial attack striking downwards, and a devastating dropkick.
Its rampage attack was the result of the mod creator trying to code a dropkick attack.
The Omni-Man variant of the Groberfub exists because when the Groberfub was being modeled, its squatting position reminded the modeler of the Thicc Omni-Man meme.
There are 6 unique idle growls for the Omni-Man Groberfub variant, all having different voice lines relating to Omni-Man.
These voice lines include "I'm omning it", "are you sure?", "for Viltrum!", "what will you have after five hundred years?", "think, Mark! Think!", and "Earth isn't yours to conquer".
