Ogres are the evolution of Brutes, belonging in the Hyper Evolved tier.
Spawning
Spawned when a Brute gets 7 evolution points by killing mobs and its evolution timer begins. Once the time is up, they will become an Ogre.
Spawned from Arena Tendrils as a special mob during a raid.
Sometimes spawned by a Proto Hivemind when it receives damage, in which it summons a special Verwahrung that can hold an Ogre inside.
Unique Behavior
When hitting players, the Ogre has a 20% chance to perform its devour ability, in which it puts the player in its mouth and continuously does high damage. This ability is an AOE attack. The player will be in the swimming position and can escape by crouching. The Ogre will not devour mobs, only players.
When fighting mobs, the Ogre can quickly turn to swing its tail at mobs to fling them back extremely far, doing knockback 5. This attack inflicts the Nausea effect for 5 seconds. If it kills a mob with this ability, the Ogre's model will change, gaining an impaled infected on its tail. It can only perform this ability after 2+ normal attacks have passed.
The Ogre is able to quickly turn to swing its tail and throw between 1 - 3 blocks at a target. It can throw blocks with a hardness of up to 4. The damage the block does is 10 multiplied by the hardness of the block its throwing. It doesn't care how far away the target is, only if it can see it. It will try to perform this ability every 10 seconds when attacking.
The Ogre can throw Infected and Evolved mobs at targets, giving them Slow Falling for 10 seconds. It will try to perform this ability every 2 seconds when attacking.
Behavior
Ogres are melee combatants and ranged combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Ogres inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Essentially has Sweeping Edge, as its attack has an AOE.
Can fall from up to 8 blocks before taking fall damage.
Has a follow range of 32 blocks.
Ogres can see entities through walls if they are closer than 10 blocks.
Ogres will create nests (explained on the Hyper Evolved page.)
Ogres have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Ogres have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Ogres do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 3 or below.
Have a damage cap of 1/3 of their health on hard mode.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
Some of the Ogre's abilities were partially taken from a suggestion made by @lightigivhi in the Spore Asylum Discord server, though the original suggestion was changed a lot and isn't credited as the original Ogre suggestion.
The Ogre's model is based on gorillas and dinosaurs.
The tail of the Ogre is likely a reference to the original Brute model, which had a tail.
The large mouth the Ogre has is based on the Assimilated Bear from Scape & Run: Parasites.
The Ogre's model is named "WHATareyoudoinginmySWAMP" in BlockBench, obviously a reference to the movie Shrek.
Due to the devour ability being an AOE attack, it means it can devour players that weren't targeted, even if they are in creative.
When performing its tail ability, it can sometimes swing so fast it won't appear to have done the ability.
