Wendigos are the evolution of Stalkers, belonging in the Hyper Evolved tier.
Spawning
Spawned when a Stalker gets 7 evolution points by killing mobs and its evolution timer begins. Once the time is up, they will become a Wendigo.
Spawned from Arena Tendrils as a special mob during a raid.
Sometimes spawned by a Proto Hivemind when it receives damage, in which it summons a special Verwahrung that can hold a Wendigo inside.
Spawned in a Military Camp structure when it first generates.
Unique Behavior
When detecting a target that is farther away than ~17.32 blocks and isn't looking at the Wendigo, it will attempt to stalk it, where it crawls on the ground slowly and covers itself in biological camouflage, which is just the color of the grass of the biome it's in (this accounts for modded biomes.) If the target looks at it or it gets within ~17.32 blocks, it will go into sprint mode, where it gets a speed boost for 20 seconds, and charges at the target. It'll also lose its camouflage. While stalking targets, it will periodically make Villager, Wandering Trader, Enderman, or Pillager noises to confuse or lure its prey.
When attacking mobs that have armor, it has a 2% chance per armor slot to drop that piece of armor on the ground (8% chance to rip off any armor total.)
Like horses, Wendigos are capable of stepping up blocks, meaning they don't have to jump to go up one block.
Is able to climb up blocks.

Wendigos have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Wendigos do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.

Trivia
Some of the Wendigo's abilities were partially taken from a suggestion made by @enderbro98 in the Spore Asylum Discord server, though the original suggestion was changed a lot and isn't credited as the original Wendigo suggestion.
Wendigos are based on the real-life wendigo mythological creature originating from Algonquian folklore.
The Wendigo is able to step up blocks so it doesn't get stuck when it's charging at targets.
The Wendigo's model is named "wendys4for4" in BlockBench.
There is a bone in the Wendigo's model named "TheEnfunganing," and it is comprised of fungal foliage and three tumors.
The name of the method for stripping armor is "undressTarget" in the code.
The Wendigo was the first Hyper Evolved mob to be added.
