Infected Diseased Villagers are the infected version of Zombie Villagers, therefore belonging in the Infected tier.
Spawning
Spawned when a Zombie Villager dies with Mycelium Infection.
Spawns naturally in the dark, usually in caves or during night.
Spawns in groups of 1 - 2 with a spawn weight of 10. Will not spawn in biomes with an internal temperature value at or below 0.2 or in Deep Dark biomes.
Evolution
When reaching 1 kill and waiting for the 5-minute evolution timer to finish, the Infected Diseased Villager will evolve. The following are their possible Evolved forms:
Unique Behavior
(Upcoming:) Inflicts the Poison and Nausea effects for N/A seconds when dealing melee damage.
Infected Diseased Villagers are capable of opening doors to reach areas. This does not apply for iron doors or trapdoors.
Behavior
Infected Diseased Villagers are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Infected Diseased Villagers inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Has a follow range of 16 blocks.
Infected Diseased Villagers can fall victim to starvation (explained on the Infected page.)
Infected Diseased Villagers have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Infected Diseased Villagers will attempt to group together in hordes with other Infected.
Infected Diseased Villagers will follow Evolved and Hyper Evolved mobs.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking glass and leaves.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Infected Diseased Villagers have a zombie virus and the Spore in their body, making them extremely sick and toxic, hence why they can inflict Poison and Nausea on melee damage.

Trivia
Infected Diseased Villagers were originally designed to function the exact same as Infected Villagers, with the code being directly copied. The only differences are the name, ID, model, advancement, and config options.
They were later given the ability to deal Poison and Nausea to make them more unique.
Infected Diseased Villagers were added much later than every other Infected. This is because the mod creator experienced issues with trying to make Zombie Villagers infectable; they are coded differently and were spawning an Infected Human and Infected Villager at the same time when converted. Eventually a solution was found and after some convincing from staff, the mod creator agreed to add an 'Infected Zombie Villager'. The original plan was for them to just convert to Infected Villagers.
