Hindenburgs are air Calamities.
Spawning
Unique Behavior
Hindenburgs are flying mobs, allowing them to reach targets at higher levels and overall making them more mobile than other mobs. They will always stay above the target when performing ranged attacks. Though, when not having a target, Hindenburgs prefer to hover idle above the ground.
The Hindenburg, when having a target, will launch 7 - 10 tumors every 4 seconds towards his current target. These tumors will place down an area effect cloud that can either be Mycelium Infection, Corrosion, Wither, Weakness, Poison, or Blindness, all for 30 seconds at amplifier II. These tumors can also destroy blocks, and have a blast strength of 2.
If the Hindenburg is below 100 HP, he will become capable of deploying a Tumoroid Nuke, which falls from the Hindenburg's mouth. He'll only drop these bombs if his current target is below him and within 10 blocks on the X axis and 10 blocks on the Z axis. It has a blast strength of 16 and takes 4 seconds to explode once being deployed. The Hindenburg takes 2 minutes to arm a Tumoroid Nuke.
There is a 20% chance that a Tumoroid Nuke dropped by a Hindenburg will be its Bunker Buster variant. This variant has a smaller explosion size, being half the size of the regular nuke, but will dig deeper than the regular Tumoroid Nuke, spawning three explosions, the first 5 blocks below the first explosion and the second 10 blocks below.
If its target is flying via an Elytra, the Hindenburg will switch to trying to deal melee damage. It's only ever capable of performing a melee attack if its target is flying.
The Hindenburg's side cannons take x3.2 damage, hitting its mouth does x2.7 damage, and hitting its front or back does x1.4 damage.
The Hindenburg has a 0.3% chance to perform his spore burst ability every tick and can only be successful if the target is within ~14.4 blocks; or a 20% chance when taking cold damage. He will summon a Scent and give Jump Boost, Slow Falling (both for 30 seconds at amplifier I,) and Resistance for 30 seconds at amplifier II to all allies within a 32 block radius. The spore burst will also apply debuffs to mobs within a 32 block radius. The debuffs include Nausea, Mycelium Infection, and Slowness, all for 30 seconds at amplifier II.
When performing a spore burst, all Infected, Evolved, Hyper Evolved, Scampers, and Gastgebers within a 16 block radius will receive 0 - 3 kill points.
Additionally, when doing a spore burst, all CDUs within a 16 block radius will be clogged, meaning they no longer work. They can be fixed by breaking them and placing them back down.
Hindenburgs have three possible custom death messages, being "<player> was eaten by Hindenburg", "<player> was crushed by Hindenburg", and "<player> was dismantled by Hindenburg". 50% of the damage Hindenburgs do is custom 'calamity damage 1', this solely effects the death message. If it fails, 50% chance to deal 'calamity damage 2'. If that fails, 50% chance to deal 'calamity damage 3'.
When killing 50 mobs and having dropped more than 5 nukes in his lifetime, the Hindenburg will gain his Overclocked adaptation.
This adaptation has a x2 fire rate and Tumoroid Nuke arming speed. He will light non-spore mobs on fire if they are within 8 blocks of him. The Tumoroid Nukes dropped by Overclocked Hindenburgs will have a fiery crater.
Around Christmas time, Hindenburgs will have a string of Christmas lights around them and gain a star on the top of their body. This is purely cosmetic.
Behavior
Hindenburgs are melee combatants and ranged combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Hindenburgs inflict Mycelium Infection II for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Essentially has Sweeping Edge, as their attack has an AOE.
Like horses, Hindenburgs are capable of stepping up blocks, meaning they don't have to jump to go up one block. However, since they fly, this mechanic is never utilized by them.
The minimum amount of true damage a Hindenburg can deal to a target is 30% of its base melee damage, however the Womb Crafting System can increase that.
Can fall from up to 28 blocks before taking fall damage. However, since they fly, this mechanic is never utilized by them.
Has a follow range of 128 blocks.
Hindenburgs are influenced by signals and objectives (explained on the Proto Hivemind page.)
Hindenburgs can become rooted (explained on the Calamities page.)
Hindenburgs can summon Scents (explained on the Calamities page.)
Will summon an age 1 Mound when reaching a new objective location.
Hindenburgs can increase their armor by killing skeletons (explained on the Calamities page.)
Can summon Vigils when below 50% health (explained on the Calamities page.)
Hindenburgs load chunks when following signals to new objectives.
When dying, Hindenburgs will place a variety of blocks and Corpse Pieces in their death location (explained on the Calamities page.)
Hindenburgs can be affected by the womb crafting system (explained on the Womb page.)
Hindenburgs are immune to debuffs that are not above amplifier one.
Hindenburgs have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Hindenburgs have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Hindenburgs do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Evolved mobs will follow Hindenburgs.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 5 or below.
Have a damage cap of 40 (x20 hearts.)
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Lore
One of the early hosts used in the construction of some of the first few Proto Hiveminds likely has memories of the horrific Hindenburg disaster (either having seen it in person, having lost someone to it, or simply having watching a documentary.) Using those memories, the Proto sought to construct a Calamity that would take advantage of the fear of such accidents.
The Hindenburg is meant to resemble the fear of disasters, such as the Hindenburg disaster.

Trivia
The Hindenburg is a suggested mob, coming from the mind of @enderbro98 in the Spore Asylum Discord server.
The Hindenburg uses he/him pronouns and is gay.
The name, appearance, and functionality of the Hindenburg is based on the LZ 129 Hindenburg.
Hidden inside of the Hindenburg is a white texture with the text "DR. PILOT WAS HERE." Dr. Pilot is the person who modeled and textured the Hindenburg. This text is viewable when going inside of the Hindenburg.
The Hindenburg is the only Calamity that can't have a body part cut off.
He was voted as the mob with the worse model and texture in a poll in the Discord server.
During early development, the Hindenburg tended to refuse to fly and instead preferred to chase after targets and bite them even if grounded.
On the original texture of the Hindenburg, the front three segments on the frame had the wrong texture, instead boasting a more bone-like texture, a remnant from the original texture of the entire frame. It was left unchanged for a while before it was finally fixed.
There was a scrapped adaptation for the Hindenburg called the 'Polluted Hindenburg' that would've largely increased the durations and amplifiers of all effects the Hindenburg applied. The idea behind it was air pollution. It was scrapped and replaced by the Overclocked Hindenburg.
The Polluted Hindenburg is a suggested adaptation, coming from the mind of @wikistomfoolery in the Spore Asylum Discord server.
Hidden inside of the Overclocked Hindenburg is a picture of Markiplier. This image is viewable when going inside of the Hindenburg.
The Tumoroid Nuke's base model file is named "TheFuckingNuke" in BlockBench.
The term 'tumoroid' in real life is a patient-derived 3D cancer model.
The name of the Tumoroid Nuke's model in BlockBench refers to it as 'tumoral' instead of 'tumoroid'.
The term 'tumoral' in real life means "of, relating to, or constituting a tumor."
The model of the Tumoroid Nuke, when originally created, was too large, but is scaled down in game with code.
