Umarmers belong in the Organoid tier.
Spawning
Spawned by a Proto Hivemind when it detects a threat.
Spawned by Outpost Watchers when it detects a threat.
Unique Behavior
The Umarmer has a slam attack, which has an AOE of roughly 4x4x4 blocks. This attack has increased range (range is the hitbox's width plus 4.)
If their target is within ~2.23 blocks, it will attempt to grab the target. When grabbed, it will hold them in its ribs and do damage every 1/2 second. It also continually applies Slowness II for 20 seconds and Mycelium Infection III for 30 seconds. This can be escaped by dismounting.
Umarmer's pin attack has a cooldown of 5.5 seconds, in which it will pin the target to the ground, forcing them in crawl mode. It also continually applies Slowness II for 20 seconds and Mycelium Infection III for 30 seconds. If the target is out of range, it will spawn a wave instead.
Waves take 3 seconds to charge. They will travel towards the target that spawned it, dealing AOE damage to everything nearby when it hits the target. Waves disappear after 7 seconds or when they hit their target. The range of waves is roughly 4x4x4 blocks.
If hit by a ranged attack, the Umarmer will start shielding, in which it takes 4x less damage from ranged damage. It stops shielding when it initializes an attack.
20% of Umarmers are variated. The Umarmer has three variants, meaning a 6.6% chance for each variant.
The Crispy Umarmer, when doing damage, will set its target on fire for 10 seconds.
The Bile Umarmer applies Blindness, Weakness, and Slowness for 10 seconds when dealing damage.
The Corrosive Umarmer inflicts Corrosion II for 30 seconds when doing damage.
Behavior
Umarmers are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Umarmers inflict Mycelium Infection II for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Has a follow range of 20 blocks.
Umarmers are incapable of movement.
Able to breath underwater.
Umarmers have a type of passive regeneration. This is disabled while they are under the effects of the cold.

The Umarmer is a suggested mob, coming from the mind of @jwt114 in the Spore Asylum Discord server.
'Umarmer' is German and means "hugger".
The Crispy Umarmer variant utilizes the old texture of the Umarmer. This is because it was made before the Umarmer was retextured.
The Crispy Umarmer was created because the mod creator was upset that The Flesh That Hates mod was beating spore, strength wise. This is to exploit the Flesh's weakness to fire.
