Infected Wandering Traders are the infected version of Wandering Traders, therefore belonging in the Infected tier. They are defined as a disposable mob by the config.
Spawning
Spawned when a Wandering Trader dies with Mycelium Infection.
Spawns naturally in the dark, usually in caves or during night.
Spawns in groups of 1 - 2 with a spawn weight of 25. Will not spawn in biomes with an internal temperature value at or below 0.2 or in Deep Dark biomes.
Evolution
When reaching 1 kill and waiting for the 5-minute evolution timer to finish, the Infected Wandering Trader will evolve. The following are their possible Evolved forms:
Unique Behavior
Infected Wandering Traders will drink a potion of invisibility when locking onto a target.
Can drink healing potions when below 100% health.
Can be picked up by Phayrie.
Behavior
Infected Wandering Traders are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Infected Wandering Traders inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Has a follow range of 23 blocks.
Infected Wandering Traders can fall victim to starvation (explained on the Infected page.)
Infected Wandering Traders have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Infected Wandering Traders will attempt to group together in hordes with other Infected.
Infected Wandering Traders will follow Evolved and Hyper Evolved mobs.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking glass and leaves.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.
