Inebriaters are a possible evolution of Infected Scientists, belonging in the Evolved tier.
Spawning
Spawned when a Coat Infected Scientist variant gets an evolution point by killing a mob and its evolution timer begins. If the evolution succeeds, they will become an Inebriater.
Spawn naturally in laboratory structures (Military Camp, Hospital, Permafrost Mining Outpost, and Groundzero structures.)
Spawns in groups of 2 - 3 with a spawn weight of 30.
Unique Behavior
When a spore mob (excluding other Inebriaters) is within 16 blocks of the Inebriater, the Inebriater will move towards them. If in range, it will apply Regeneration II for 15 seconds, Resistance I for 20 seconds, and Speed II for 10 seconds to the spore mob. The mobs it injects are referred to as 'patients'. If there is a group of spore mobs, the Inebriater will randomly pick a new patient every 2 seconds.
Inebriaters will not attack other mobs if in a group of other spore mobs, even if there is a target. It will always prefer injecting allies over attacking. This allows it to buff patients as they are chasing a target.
If the Inebriater is alone, it will be forced to deal simple melee damage. If there are only other Inebriaters around, they will still attack.
Behavior
Inebriaters are melee combatants and ranged combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Inebriaters inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Has a follow range of 32 blocks.
Inebriaters have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
When killed, have a chance to place a small short-lived Mycelium Infection area effect cloud.
Inebriaters will attempt to group together in hordes with other Evolved.
Infected will follow Inebriaters, who themselves will follow Hyper Evolved and Calamities.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking glass and leaves.
Have a damage cap of 1/3 of their health on hard mode.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
The term 'inebriate' in real life means "make (someone) drunk; intoxicate."
The Inebriater was originally an Infected Witch evolution called the ‘Necroraiser’ that would pump human remains full of potions to reanimate them for a short period of time. It was revamped to fit better in the mod.
Its model was originally meant to have its mask ripped with deformed teeth jutting out. It was forgotten when the Inebriater was modeled.
Is referred to as "Inebrieter" in the config
