Hohlfressers are ground Calamities.

Unique Behavior
The Hohlfresser is capable of essentially swimming through blocks, as he can go through blocks to basically dig through them to pathfind to mobs and locations, without actually breaking the blocks. The head of the Hohlfresser will ignore collisions with blocks when digging (the segments already ignore them). When digging through blocks, the Hohlfresser moves extremely quickly.
In order for the Hohlfresser to be able to dig this way through a block, multiple criteria have to be met. The block cannot be unbreakable or have a hardness higher than 3.
Additionally, at least one of the following checks has to be true in order for the Hohlfresser to dig through the block:
If the block is air.
If the block can be replaced.
If the block can be mined with a pickaxe.
If the block can be mined with a shovel.
If the block is a liquid.
If the block's hardness is 0.
Every 2 seconds while the Hohlfresser is digging through blocks and pathfinding to a target, there is a 10% chance per block in a 8 block radius of the head that the block will fall. The block must have a hardness of 5 or below and a hardness that is above 0 in order to fall. The selected blocks will only fall if the block below them is air or a fluid. They additionally can only fall if there is a player within 400 blocks of the Hohlfresser.
While he digs underground in blocks and is moving, players within a 25 block radius of the head will get a screen shake effect on their screen. This is also accompanied by a violent rumbling noise.
If digging through any ore blocks, there is a 0.5% chance the Hohlfresser will consume them and add 1 to his internal ore counter per ore block. This has an 8 block range and a cooldown of 2 seconds. The ores will be replaced with Cobblestone when consumed, or Cobbled Deepslate if the ore is below Y=0.
Ores can be used for scaling the damage of his vomit projectiles and changing the texture of the vomit projectiles.
When digging through Grass Blocks, there is a 20% chance they will be converted to Dirt. When digging through Dirt, there is a 20% chance it will be converted to Coarse Dirt. The range of this is 8 blocks and it occurs ever 2 seconds.
If the Hohlfresser has a line of sight to a target that is farther than 10 blocks away, he will perform his ranged vomit attack, in which he shoots a vomit ball projectile once every 10 ticks. These projectiles have a 10% chance to inflict either Corrosion II for 5 seconds or the bile effects (Blindness, Weakness, and Slowness I for 5 seconds and Mining Fatigue I for 10 seconds.). There is an additional 10% chance for the projectile to be a Tumor instead of vomit. The vomit projectiles do 1 damage, however their damage is increased by 0.2 per ore the Hohlfresser eats. This caps out at 10 damage (x5 hearts).
If the Hohlfresser has kill points, the vomit projectiles will appear to have bones in the texture. If the Hohlfresser has any ores, the texture will have ore bits in it.
Every 15 seconds, if a Hohlfresser has a target that is within 100 blocks, he will attempt to perform a charge that launches the Hohlfresser in the direction of the target, swimming through blocks. He can only perform the charge if the blocks between him and the target meet all the requirements of the normal digging are met.
The velocity at which the Hohlfresser lunges is equal to half the distance. The farther away the target, the faster he lunges.
Enhanced swimming: the Hohlfresser can move much quicker in water than other mobs.
Able to breath underwater.
Is able to climb up blocks.
Capable of seeing entities through walls, as long as there are no blocks above a hardness of 3 obstructing the Hohlfresser's view.
Will not be able to see entities through walls when following a signal.
Is immune to fall damage and suffocation damage.
The segments will always try to follow behind the head. These segments ignore collision with blocks.
If a segment of the Hohlfresser is damaged, the head HP will be damaged instead. The head HP is the Hohlfresser's proper health.
Additionally, if any part of the Hohlfresser receives a positive effect or Glowing, all parts (including the innards) will receive it.
The Hohlfresser's segments have two variants, both a 33% chance to be instead of the base (which the base itself also has a 33% chance, meaning all three variants have the same chance to spawn.)
The clawed segment checks for targettable entities within range every second. If there is a mob, it will hit them for 10 damage (x5 hearts).
The fleshy segment takes x2.5 damage.
The Hohlfresser has a 0.3% chance to perform his spore burst ability every tick and can only be successful if the target is within ~14.4 blocks; or a 20% chance when taking cold damage. He will summon a Scent and give Speed, Strength (both for 30 seconds at amplifier I,) and Resistance for 30 seconds at amplifier II to all allies within a 16 block radius. The spore burst will also apply debuffs to mobs within a 16 block radius. The debuffs include Weakness, Mining Fatigue (both for 30 seconds at amplifier I,) and Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds at amplifier II.
When performing a spore burst, all Infected, Evolved, Hyper Evolved, Scampers, and Gastgebers within a 16 block radius will receive 0 - 3 kill points.
Additionally, when doing a spore burst, all CDUs within a 16 block radius will be clogged, meaning they no longer work. They can be fixed by breaking them and placing them back down.
Hohlfressers have three possible custom death messages, being "<player> was eaten by Hohlfresser", "<player> was crushed by Hohlfresser", and "<player> was dismantled by Hohlfresser". 50% of the damage Hohlfressers do is custom 'calamity damage 1', this solely effects the death message. If it fails, 50% chance to deal 'calamity damage 2'. If that fails, 50% chance to deal 'calamity damage 3'.
Behavior
Hohlfressers are melee combatants and ranged combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Hohlfressers inflict Mycelium Infection II for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Essentially has Sweeping Edge, as its attack has an AOE.
Like horses, Hohlfressers are capable of stepping up two blocks, meaning they don't have to jump to go up one block.
The minimum amount of true damage a Hohlfresser can deal to a target is 30% of its base melee damage, however the Womb Crafting System can increase that.
Has a follow range of 64 blocks.
Hohlfressers are influenced by signals and objectives (explained on the Proto Hivemind page.)
Hohlfressers can become rooted (explained on the Calamities page.)
Hohlfressers can summon Scents (explained on the Calamities page.)
Will summon an age 1 Mound when reaching a new objective location.
Hohlfressers can increase their armor by killing skeletons (explained on the Calamities page.)
Can summon Vigils when below 50% health (explained on the Calamities page.)
Hohlfressers load chunks when following signals to new objectives.
When dying, Hohlfressers will place a variety of blocks and Corpse Pieces in their death location (explained on the Calamities page.)
Hohlfressers can be affected by the womb crafting system (explained on the Womb page.)
Hohlfressers are immune to debuffs that are not above amplifier one.
Hohlfressers have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Hohlfressers have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Hohlfressers do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Evolved mobs will follow Hohlfressers.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 5 or below.
Have a damage cap of 50 (x25 hearts.)
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
The Hohlfresser is a suggested mob, coming from the mind of @karoco in the Spore Asylum Discord server.
The Hohlfresser uses he/him pronouns and is transgender.
'Hohlfresser' is German and means "hollow eater" or "hole eater".
The Hohlfresser has multiple tongues because he was originally going to have a tongue grapple ability, but it was scrapped and saved for a future mob.
It's not uncommon for a Hohlfresser to ball up and appear like only the head, most often when no longer having a target.
The blocks that fall from Hohlfressers moving through blocks having a requirement of a hardness above 0 is due to the fact that prior to this restriction, Hohlfressers could make Bedrock fall, which has a hardness of -1.
The charge of the Hohlfresser used to be much stronger, allowing him to basically teleport from the surface to the bottom of the world in less than a second.
It's not uncommon for the Hohlfresser to overshoot his charge, causing him to miss the target entirely.
The Hohlfresser can see entities through walls so it can find mobs in caves.
The Hohlfresser's innards glow in the dark.
The Behemoth adaptation of the Hohlfresser is a reference to the Sandworm from Dune.
The name ‘Behemoth’ for its adaptation was originally the name for a different planned Calamity, but it was given to the Hohlfresser’s adaptation.
