Infected Witches are the infected version of Witches, therefore belonging in the Infected tier. She is defined as a support mob by the config.
Spawning
Spawned when a Witch dies with Mycelium Infection.
Spawns naturally in the dark, usually in caves or during night.
Spawns in groups of 1 - 2 with a spawn weight of 25. Will not spawn in biomes with an internal temperature value at or below 0.2 or in Deep Dark biomes.
Spawned from Arena Tendrils during the first and second waves of a raid.
Evolution
When reaching 1 kill and waiting for the 5-minute evolution timer to finish, the Infected Witch will evolve. The following are her possible Evolved forms:
Unique Behavior
Offensively, the Infected Witch will throw Harming, Weakness, Poison, Mycelium Infection II, and Marker II potions at targets. This doesn't mean she can't melee, however, as 10% of the time when in combat, she will switch to melee.
When fighting a mob classified as undead, she will switch to throwing exclusively Instant Health potions.
Defensively, she can drink healing potions when below 100% health. There is no cooldown on this besides when she's drinking, so she can drink them as quick as she wants to heal, even while throwing potions at targets.
Supportingly, she can throw potions at other infected to buff them. She can throw Invisibility, Swiftness, and Strength potions at other infected passively. She'll also throw Regeneration potions at infected who are below 100% health.
Can be picked up by Leapers.
Infected Witches have a custom death message, being "<player> played like Skyrill." 30% of the melee damage Infected Witches do is custom 'Infected Witch damage,' this solely effects the death message.
Behavior
Infected Witches are melee combatants, ranged combatants, and support units, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Has a follow range of 16 blocks.
Infected Witches can fall victim to starvation (explained on the Infected page.)
Infected Witches have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Infected Witches will attempt to group together in hordes with other Infected.
Infected Witches will follow Evolved and Hyper Evolved mobs.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking glass and leaves.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.
