Jagdhunds are a possible evolution of Infected Husks, belonging in the Evolved tier.
Spawning
Spawned when an Infected Husk gets an evolution point by killing a mob and its evolution timer begins. If the evolution succeeds, they have a 30% chance to become a Jagdhund.
Spawned from Arena Tendrils during the second and third waves of a raid.
Spawned from Vigils during the second and third waves of a Vigil raid.
Unique Behavior
The main ability of the Jagdhund is its digging ability. When it sees a target, it will dig underground and begin moving towards the entity. When getting within 10 blocks of their target and is on soft enough blocks, they will burrow up and engage in normal melee combat. Jagdhunds can only dig in blocks below a hardness of 4 (this excludes hardness 4 itself.) It also cannot take damage while burrowed, unless the damage is from standing in fire, being on fire, or explosions. It should also be noted that they can keep moving while burrowing and emerging.
Jagdhunds often pounce at their targets when in close range. They can utilize this to leap across small gaps to reach targets.
Inflicts the Hunger effect for 1 minute when dealing melee damage. This is a trait carried down from the Infected Husk.
Behavior
Jagdhunds are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Jagdhunds inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Has a follow range of 46 blocks.
Jagdhunds have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
When killed, have a chance to place a small short-lived Mycelium Infection area effect cloud.
Jagdhunds will attempt to group together in hordes with other Evolved.
Infected will follow Jagdhunds, who themselves will follow Hyper Evolved and Calamities.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking glass and leaves.
Have a damage cap of 1/3 of their health on hard mode.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
Some of the Jugdhund's abilities were partially taken from a suggestion made by @lightigivhi in the Spore Asylum Discord server, though the original suggestion was changed a lot and isn't credited as the original Jagdhund suggestion.
The Jagdhund was originally called the 'Drinamite' in the suggestion. This was changed because the staff couldn't find any meaning behind the word, so it was changed.
'Jagdhund' is German and means "hunting dog". It was called this because of its somewhat similar appearance to a domestic dog.
The mouth of the Jagdhund is inspired by Mandíbulas from Resident Evil 4 and Whispering Deaths from How to Train Your Dragon.
Interestingly, with the Jagdhund being able to dig in blocks under a hardness of 4, this means they can burrow in bedrock.
