Inquisitors are the evolution of Knights, belonging in the Hyper Evolved tier.
Spawning
Spawned when a Knight gets 7 evolution points by killing mobs and its evolution timer begins. Once the time is up, they will become an Inquisitor.
Spawned from Arena Tendrils as a special mob during a raid.
Sometimes spawned by a Proto Hivemind when it receives damage, in which it summons a special Verwahrung that can hold an Inquisitor inside.
Unique Behavior
The more kills it gets, the more damage it can do. It gains 0.5 hearts of damage per kill. It can gain a max of double the base damage, meaning normally the max amount of bonus damage it can do is 20 (10 hearts,) or a total damage of 40 (20 hearts.) It takes 20 kills to get its max damage.
The lower health the Inquisitor gets, the more armor it will have. 2 lost hearts will equal 1 more armor bar. The equation for this in the code is half of the difference between the max HP and current HP.
Behavior
Inquisitors are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Inquisitors inflict Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Essentially has Sweeping Edge, as its attack has an AOE.
Can fall from up to 8 blocks before taking fall damage.

Inquisitors can see entities through walls if they are closer than 10 blocks.
Inquisitors will create nests (explained on the Hyper Evolved page.)
Inquisitors have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death.
Inquisitors have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Inquisitors do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 3 or below.
Have a damage cap of 1/3 of their health on hard mode.
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
Its ability to gain armor the lower health it has was originally exclusive to the Inquisitor. But it was later added to the Knight to make it less basic, as it previously had no unique abilities.
The fungus on the Inquisitor's head is meant to represent the helmet of a Spanish conquistador.
The Inquisitor's model is named "spanish inquisition" in BlockBench.
