Tentacles are testing entities that belong in the Utility Abnormal tier.
Spawning
Tentacles only exist in the 1.20.1 Forge version of Fungal Infection: Spore. They can only be summoned via commands.
Unique Behavior
Tentacles are used as testing entities for the mod creator to experiment with new code and concepts. They are not designed to be seen or used by players. Tentacles have been used to test the following mechanics:
They have been used to test a scrapped mechanic for the Bioblob where it would've crawled across ceilings.
They have been used to test the moving segments that Hohlfressers use.
They have been used to test the procedural animation that Grakensenkers use.
They are currently being used to test upcoming procedural animation for Siegers to use.

Trivia
The Bioblob crawling on ceilings mechanic via Tentacles was scrapped due to the mod creator being unable to get it to work.
Tentacles originally were in the Organoid tier when they were first added, but it was changed to have no proper tier (Utility Abnormal) when they needed to be tested for procedural movement, since Organoids are incapable of movement.
Despite being weak to the cold, they take no bonus damage from freezing.
If spawned in water (using something like the Mob Spawner item from the Mob Battle Mod), two Tentacles will be spawned instead of one. The reason for this bug is unknown.
